Plan a building or floor

Add floor images, place building parts, and route cables along walls.

Create the project

  1. Open Projects → New project → Floor Plan.
  2. Upload a PNG or JPG for each floor, or describe the building in the Generate box.
  3. Name each floor, review the result, and apply it.

Each floor is a separate section. The parts library starts in Building, with breaker panels, outlets, switches, and lights.

Place parts and set scale

Use a part’s + button or drag it from the library. Click its card to view or edit it.

Click empty canvas to view project settings. Add or replace a floor-plan image and adjust its opacity there. Set the unit and Canvas px / unit to match a known distance before relying on cable lengths.

Use Draw wall or W to mark walls. The image is a visual reference; walls are separate editable objects.

Route cables along walls

Click one part’s connector, add bends on the canvas if needed, then click the destination connector. Select a cable to review its wire colors and pin mappings.

Drag a cable segment to move its route. To align a run with a wall, choose Follow a wall in the cable inspector and select the wall. Choose another wall to reroute it.

Connect different floors

Use the Inspector’s section selector to switch floors, or Add section to create one. Choose Cable to another section, select the two parts and connectors, and label the link. Click its label to jump to the connected floor.

Wirecharm plans physical layouts. It does not verify electrical code, circuit capacity, or installation safety. Have building wiring reviewed by a qualified electrician.
