Plan an electronics project

Arrange real parts, name separate plans, and connect their wiring.

Create a project

  1. Open Projects → New project → Electronics.
  2. Describe the parts, power sources, connections, and physical layout.
  3. Add reference images, schematic PDFs, or public part URLs if useful.
  4. Review the generated parts, connectors, and wiring, then apply.

For example: “A helmet with two servos, eye lights, a control board, battery, charger, fuse, and trigger switch.” State voltages and connector pinouts when you know them.

Organize separate sections

A project can contain several Sections. Use one for each independent assembly, alternative design, or disconnected setup. Ask AI for “two separate sections” to keep them on separate canvases.

Use the Inspector’s section selector to switch, or Add section for a blank canvas. Parts and cable routes stay with their section.

Connect the parts

Add a part with + or drag it onto the canvas. Click a connector to start a cable, then click another connector to finish. Review the cable’s wire-to-pin mappings in the Inspector.

To branch a harness, choose Connect cable, click an existing cable segment, then the new destination connector. To connect two plans, choose Cable to another section. Its label opens the other plan.

Review before building

Check each part’s voltage, current, polarity, connector labels, fuse, and wire rating against its manufacturer’s documentation. AI may infer missing details or make mistakes. Wirecharm does not simulate or certify the circuit.
